Reegan opened Sorrento Valley Yoga with the aspiration to create an environment that is approachable for all levels and styles of yoga. A life long community member of North County, San Diego, Reegan has created a beautiful studio, calling upon her nine years of practice and instruction. Introduced to yoga through Ashtanga and Bikram, Reegan received her first certification in 2001 from the Vitality Healing Center in Solana Beach. In 2002 she received her Bikram certification from Bikram Yoga College of India Headquarters in Los Angeles. She promptly put her training to use as an instructor in the Bikram studios of Encinitas, Oceanside, San Clemente, and La Jolla. Also during that time, Reegan held a three-month guest instructor position at the Bikram studio of Auckland, New Zealand. On top of that she taught a vinyasa style class for Yoga Tropics in Encinitas. Reegan has enjoyed the opportunity to develop and refine her personal practice as both student and instructor. She continues to do so with every new class. An avid cook, Reegan loves being the oldest of her 27 cousins and never passes up the opportunity to cook for the entire family. Reegan loves to garden, and her latest hobby is racquetball. She welcomes a challenge.

Tracey started her yoga practice at the early age of 14 while she was in high school. She has maintained a regular practice ever since and began teaching at Sorrento Valley Yoga in March of 2009. She has a strong practice in Bikram's, Ashtanga, vinyasa flow and other Hatha yoga which she's cultivated over the past few years in San Diego county. Tracey is an intuitive instructor and shares her enthusiasm in every class. Tracey is studying Spanish at San Diego State University and hopes to share yoga across the globe once she is graduated. Tracey is passionate about introducing people to yoga for the first time. As a teacher she is both calming and encouraging.
Stefanie began practicing yoga in 2003. She was immediately inspired by the physical, emotional, and mental transformation she went through as a practitioner. With a strong desire to share the benefits of yoga with others, Stefanie pursued and received her Vinyasa instructor certification at Prana Yoga Center in La Jolla. Stefanie's classes are strongly influenced by her mentors Gerhard Gessner, Jeannie Carlstead, and Amanda Hanley. She instructs her classes with a focus on alignment, breath, and the natural flow of postures. She couples traditional Vinyasa Yoga with Anusara-inspired elements.
After practicing yoga sporadically as a teenager and during college, Merrin developed a regular personal practice in 2003. Merrin has studied various yoga methods in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and San Diego, and became a certified yoga teacher to share the joy of personal practice with students of all levels. Prior to becoming a working yoga instructor, she worked as a junior high school P.E. teacher, where she lead yoga classes for students. Merrin currently teaches Hatha and Bikram yoga in the San Diego area, where she works as a writer and attends graduate school.
A student of yoga since 2001, Jano’s study of hatha yoga, meditation, yoga philosophy and pranayama led him to become a certified teacher since 2003. Jano has been based and teaches extensively throughout the San Diego area. He has also traveled, studied and taught in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orange County and New York. Jano comes from a strong spiritual upbringing and it is translated in his teaching. He owes oceans of gratitude to his best friend and first yoga teacher Kristyan Stjerne, Master teachers Bikram Choudhury and Sri Dharma Mitra (the teacher of teachers) and Vinnie Marino for his vinnyasa flow and musical style. Most of all Jano would not be where he is without the love and support of his beautiful wife Lorraine and his newborn son Azlan.
Be still and know that I am God. (Ps. 46:10)For Jeni, the oldest daughter of a minister, spirituality and faith has always been integral to all aspects of life. An athlete from childhood, Jeni began her yoga journey at the gym in the mid 90s and initially approached yoga as she had danced, running, and soccer, thinking of yoga as a purely physical practice. Yet, when Jeni began to practice Bikram Yoga in 2006, suddenly she felt the power of yoga: the physical, mental, and spiritual paths in her life blissfully merged. Through studying mainly Bikram and Anusara-inspired Vinyasa, Jeni has found a beautiful medium in her practice and teaching. Her classes are vigorous and uplifting and empower others to seek inner paths of discovery and improvement. Jeni completed her yoga teacher training in spring 2009 at Prana Yoga Center in La Jolla under the direction of Gerhard Gessner and Jeanie Carlstead. As the practice of yoga is an on-going self-discovery, Jeni continues to be inspired by her two primary mentors and takes classes with master teachers wherever she goes. It is her passion to grow and share in the journey. Find that place within you, the place of stillness or peace, that helps you persevere through the storm to show you what it is that you need to learn about each practice, word, deed. It is an utter joy to know that the triumphs and struggles on the mat can also translate to life off the mat: be still, quiet the mind, surrender, let grace flow, always continue to learn, build, accept, and love.
