Sorrento Valley Yoga is a warm yoga studio that is approachable for all levels and styles of yoga. The room is at a comfortably warm temperature for the season so that you can facilitate your stretch. The sessions are classified by level. We encourage practitioners to attend all levels of classes keeping in mind that there is always a beginning. Approach your practice without expectation and enjoying the range of motion that you do have. A life long community member of North County, San Diego, Reegan Sarah Lessie (Studio Owner) has created a beautiful studio, calling upon her ten years of practice and instruction. Along with Reegan the studio has an amazing group of instructors that range from many different styles and thought. The Studio is located inside the Sorrento Valley Racquetball and Fitness Center with plenty of parking and showers!


Class Descriptions


Level 1
Restorative relaxing postures using the bolster, some basic vinyasa, side stretches, backward bends, forward bends, and twists.

Level 1-2
Learn fundamentals with challenging yet approachable sequencing, balancing postures, core strengthening, side stretches, backward bends, forward bends, and twists.

Level 2-3
Refining. All are welcome whether you are an instructor or just looking to sharpen your personal practice you will be inspired with fun sequencing, arm balancing, and inversions.

Thursday January 21, 2010: 8:30 p.m. ~ 9:30 p.m.

Big Picture Talk $15 per individual or $20 per couple. (FREE if registered for entire weekend).

Friday January 22, 2010: 7:00 p.m. ~ 9:00 p.m.

Master Class For ALL Levels $40 per individual or $60 per couple.This class is designed to give the beginner a fast start on yoga practice while taking the experienced yogi to the next level. There will be an open discussion on yoga practice and philosophy, opening chant to set the intention, asana/postures practice and end with pranayama and guided meditation. There will be plenty of modifications for everyone. All levels are encouraged to attend, especially beginners.

Saturday January 23, 2010: 12:00 noon~3:00 p.m.

Maha Bandha Workshop $45 per individual or $70 per couple.This class is designed to take the intermediate practitioner to the next level. Learn the three energy locks as well as their application in asana (postures) and pranayama (breath). Maha bandhas means the great lock, or applying all three bandhas at the same time. Correct bandha application can instantly transform your practice. The crown of the hatha yoga practice will be taught as a bonus. Everyone is encouraged to attend, though 6 months of postures practice is suggested. 25% work on bandhas, 50% asana, 25% pranayama

Sunday January 24, 2010: 10:00 a.m. ~1:00 p.m.

(Two Workshops) Art of Floating and Flying $50 per individual or $80 per couple. Laying the Foundation for Arm Balances - Gravity defying vinyasa with emphasis on arm balances and handstands. Guests should have 6 months of yoga experience or ability to do bakasana/crane pose. The only requirement is the burning desire to learn!

Sunday January 24, 2010: 2:00 p.m.~5:00 p.m.

Teacher Training $40 per individual or $60 per couple. This is an open discussion on practice and teaching philosophy, yoga asana, teacher assists/adjustments. This workshop is for teachers and aspiring teachers. Individual registering for all workshops $125 Couples registering for all workshops $220

Acroyoga is a unique blend of Partner Yoga, Partner Acrobatics, and Thai Massage. It is a great blend of healing disciplines that creates a truly unique workshop experience! In this workshop you'll learn basic principles of Acrobatics, Partner Asana, Partner Yoga, spotting, and Therapeutic Flying techniques.
